Little Hearts Child Development Center began its mission of providing childcare services on February 14,2012, a day significant for being Valentine’s Day in line with the heart related theme of the school. As the name also represents Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Roberto Villarreal who was the founder of Little Hearts Child Development Center. His mission was to focus on cardiac related issues in children and the education of young children which both are centered on the Little Hearts of our Laredo families.

Issa J. Guerra
Welcome, I am Issa J. Guerra, owner and director of Little Hearts Child Developmental Center! Little Hearts CDC was founded on February 14, 2012, by Dr. Roberto Villarreal.
I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Villarreal, first as a toddler teacher and office administrator in 2012 when the center opened, then as an employee for Kinder club Learning Center from 2013-2020 there I worked as a toddler and Texas Rising Star Preschool Teacher. I obtained my directorship license from the State of Texas in 2015, where I was promoted to director of the facility. Eventually I became the owner Little Hearts Child Development Center after Dr. Villareal’s retirement in May of 2021. I was born and raised in the community of Laredo and I am raising three beautiful boys.
Teaching is my passion in life and my mission is to provide our children with a safe, warm, and loving environment that encourages their opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally at their own individual pace. I look forward to meeting with your family and working together to provide a solid foundation as your child plays, learns, develops, and grows to their fullest potential.

The children’s daycare is a fully certified, licensed and proven center of learning that has been recognized for many years for participation in the Texas School Ready program by the preparation that our students receive for their future scholastic endeavors after graduating.
The staff is CPR and First Aid certified. They have been chosen for their patience and dedication to children and to our educational program emphasizing music, arts and crafts, physical education and computational skills all within a highly eco-conscious environment that complements your child’s education with a strong bilingual offering.

Our children’s daycare program is offered to children spanning the ages of 3 months to 5 years of age, including drop-ins and an after-school program for children up to 12 years of age. The school accepts both private and CCS funded students. The school also offers a comprehensive summer program.
Your child’s safety and well-being are assured by three levels of security. The first is by means of a visually monitored controlled entryway into the lobby. The second is the restricted entry leading from the lobby into the safeguarded school environment and the third comprises the visual surveillance system monitoring the areas where the children play and learn along with the entire surrounding outdoor premises.
